Brock Archer Arts invites submissions for an anthology of LGBT+ mystery/suspense fiction and more. All proceeds from the sale of the volume will go to Outright International’s LGBTIQ Ukraine Emergency Fund, which delivers rapid financial assistance to LGBTIQ organizations and individuals impacted by the war, helping cover evacuation, safe shelter, medical care, and essential needs while enabling local groups to continue lifesaving services for their communities. Contributors

Contributors must identify as LGBT+. International contributors are encouraged to submit.

 

The Anthology

We will consider any kind of material in the mystery/thriller genre. Subgenres such as historical, sci-fi/fantasy, police procedural, etc., are welcome. Stories set in Ukraine or stories with Ukrainian characters are especially welcome, but this feature is not required.

Short stories should generally be 3000-5000 words, but we are not sticklers for numbers, so send us what you’ve got, and we’ll see if we can work with it.

 

We will also consider submissions of relevant flash fiction, poems, and artwork (B&W only).

 

The protagonist must be LGBT+. Characters may be gay, lesbian, bi, trans, or anywhere in the rainbow. Content can range anywhere from mildly romantic to scorchingly hardcore.

 

Submissions must be original, not previously published.

 

Because the proceeds for the sale of the anthology are budgeted for LGBT+ relief in Ukraine, no financial compensation is offered, but writers/artists can request a letter verifying that the contribution is tax deductible. The more contributors we have, the greater our chances of promoting the anthology, but we favor quality over quantity.
